HERBES DE PROVENCE

This is a great holiday gift to make for friends and family, so be sure to dry extra lavender when your crop comes in. Add a tag with a recipe for the herb mixture.

¼ cup (59 ml) dried thyme

3 tablespoons (45 ml) dried marjoram

2 tablespoons (30 ml) dried summer savory

1 teaspoon (5 ml) dried rosemary

½ teaspoon (2.5 ml) dried sage

½ teaspoon (2.5 ml) dried lavender flowers

Combine all the ingredients and store in an airtight jar. Crush the herbs between your fingers before adding them to food.

MAKES ABOUT ⅔ CUP (158 ML)
